Health care systems around the world are in a state of transition, moving from traditional, paper-based office practice to computer-based information management and service delivery. The term eHealth has been used to refer to modern ICT-based systems in support of health care. Interoperability of different eHealth systems is an important objective and a prerequisite for continuum of care. Achieving interoperability involves not only technical, but also socio-political and legal challenges. This Web resource serves a growing community of individuals from industry, academia, government and clinics, who are interested in collaboratively advancing eHealth interoperability and smart service interactions.
